  • Designed, fabricated and tested a Fourier transform spectrometer based on auto-aligned scanning Michelson interferometer
  • Successfully employed a solid-state diode laser for the auto-align system, yielding significant size and weight savings
COMMERCIALIZATION 
  • Received $3 million under contract with Technical Products Group to provide spectrometers for prototype joint services lightweight standoff chemical agent detectors for U.S. Armed Forces
  • Currently providing refurbishing services, several units deployed and others under evaluation
  • Advanced version under evaluation for commercial air monitoring unit
  •  
GOVERNMENT/SCIENCE APPLICATIONS 
  • Employed at JPL Table Mountain to study diurnal variability of atmospheric OH radical
  • Balloon spectroscopy to study photo-chemical reactions and transport processes in the atmosphere
