ACCOMPLISHMENTS
  • Provided a novel ambulatory, modular, and extensible Biomedical monitor
  • Can measure multiple vital signs, is lightweight, compact, easy to use, and capable of sending biomedical data via RF signal to earth in real-time
  • First truly ambulatory modular BioMedical monitor for home health, clinical research and consumer wellness

COMMERCIALIZATION
  • ZIN Medical, a partnership between ZIN Technologies and the Cleveland Clinic, was incorporated in 2006 to design, develop, commercialize, and market BioWATCH under the trade name vMetrics
  • Two patents are currently pending
  • Phase 3 funding of $350K from the State of Ohio (ORCGP) to foster commercialization with additional external Phase III funds totaling $750K
  • Three full time people support commercial development with expected growth in the next three months
GOVERNMENT/SCIENCE APPLICATIONS
  • The BioWATCH technology can be used by NASA for Exploration Vision missions during Extravehicular and Intravehicular Activity operations
  • BioWATCH is being considered for Ambulatory telemetry of crew health and safety aboard the Space Shuttle and the International Space Station (ISS)
  • Weight reduction of up to 40% over current deployed space hardware
  • ZIN is a collaborator on the Global Cardiovascular Innovation Center team to in-license cardiovascular technologies for the treatment of cardiovascular disease
