Overview
The Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) and
Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs provide approximately
$1.6 billion in R&D funds to U.S. small businesses each year.
Through these programs, ten federal agencies provide funding for
a wide range of proposal topic areas. These programs provide excellent
opportunities to nurture the development of innovative businesses
in North Dakota, offer employment opportunities for our university
and community college graduates, and enable economic development
and diversification.
