Overview

The HTDC is a state agency administratively attached to the Department of Business and Economic Development & Tourism (DBEDT). It facilitates high technology efforts in the state and acts as a liaison between industry, government, and universities. The HTDC manages a number of programs including the SBIR Grant program, a technology transfer program; federally funded project the Hawaii Electric Vehicle Demonstration Program (HEVDP); and incubators like the Kaimuki Technology Enterprise Center, the Maui Research and Technology Center, and the Manoa Innovation Center.
